The West Bridgford School supports ‘Better Without Bullying’

This year’s theme for the Anti-Bullying month that took place in November was “We’re All Better Without Bullying”.

A super group of Year 9 pupils took part in year group assemblies throughout the week and presented a focus on achievement. Their main message was that pupils should not bully others because of how hard they work in lessons or how much time they spend on tests and revision. They pushed the ideas that to be ‘clever is cool’ and that we are a school that is proud of our achievement and hardworking ethos.

Year 7 pupils also took part in a poster competition that had to focus on the theme for this year. The winners and runners up were:

1st Place: Elizabeth Clarke

2nd Place: Harriet Widdowson

3rd Place: Ali Forjam

Runners Up: Zac Worton, Freya Purcell, Joel Mason

…and their posters were fantastic! A super way of demonstrating that we are a school that is better without bullying.
