Friday 23rd May was a very special day for our Year 13 group of students, their last day of school. They marked this important day with a range of activities. Through innovative fund-raising they hired a bouncy castle, battle arena and bungie-run that were all installed on the school field. One hundred per cent of students dressed up in a range of amazing fancy dress (click here to see just a few of the costumes) and the atmosphere was excellent. Staff come out on the field to join in the festivities with Dr Stutt becoming master of the battle arena and Mr Deans managing to run out of the Bungie-run. Mr Kemp organised a 'Primary School Sports Day' with Tug-of-War, Three-legged Races and Space-Hopper Derby's between the different Primary feeder schools! The students organised their own picnic before attending a final assembly organised by Mr Bowie, the new Head of Sixth Form. One of the highlights was when Mr Winstanley was remembered, and his name applauded loudly for many minutes as the fact that this year group was the final one to benefit from his wisdom was acknowledged. The day was rounded off by staff V students games of football and netball. In many schools the 'last day' for students can sometimes see some disruption. Year 13 at West Bridgford School marked their final day with fun, creativity and a final display of sporting partnership between students and staff. The school wishes them the best of luck in their examinations.
