End of Term Arrangements - Thursday 22 July 2010
There will be an early closure to the school on Thursday 22 July 2010. Students will be in normal lessons for periods 1, 2, 3 & 4. The lunch break for all students will be 1.13pm. Students may stay for lunch or leave school at 1.13pm.
Year 12 Acceptance of Place and Confirmation of Grades
GCSE results day is Tuesday 24th August 2010.
Once you have received your results and decide that you would like to join us in September, please contact Debbie by e-mail post16@wbs.eu.com with confirmation of your final subject choices and GCSE grades.
Induction for External Year 12 Students - 1.30pm Monday 6 September 2010
Only students who are completely new to the school are invited to attend a short meeting at 1.30pm on Monday 6 September 2010 in the Bradbury Building Common Room. This will be an opportunity to meet one another, familiarise yourself with the School and the Post-16 Centre, to ask questions and discuss subject choices if necessary. Please bring your results statements with you to this meeting so that we can confirm your exam grades.
September 2010 Start - Tuesday 7 September 2010
Autumn Term starts on Tuesday 7 September 2010.
- Year 12 should arrive in school at 8.30am
The day will begin with an assembly in the main Hall, following which students will meet with Tutors, collect their timetables and complete an assessment test to help set initial expectations for you. Normal lessons should commence after this has been completed.
- Year 13 should arrive in school at 10.30am
Students should report to their Tutor base
This staggered start affords a smoother transition for students entering Year 12.
