samOn the 19th May 2012, Sam Oldknow went to Ponds Forge in Sheffield to the National Boccia championships.
Sam is very strong and accomplished Boccia player, he has been to many competitions and has been very successful however, this was his biggest competition yet.
Sam played well through all of his games and got through to the semi -finals where the players must compete in knock out stages making it a very exciting sport to watch and play.
Sam played extremely well, and remained calmed throughout the different stages of the game, with coaches expecting him to get a well-deserved place in the top 10. However, through Sam’s amazing skills and sportsmanship he managed to beat off players from all over the country and came a fantastic second place.
Sam now holds a National runner up title and will now go to Scotland on the 28-29th July to represent England in the National competition for Boccia.

We wish him all the very best and massive congratulations for his National title.
